The server that it was on crashed, and it took the board and my e-mail account with it. Currently uou can view the board, but you cannot post. Unfortunately the last time a back up of it was done was in october. There are more than a thousand postings missing. If you could please relay this info to the people on the list, I would appreciate it. Unfortunately I have no way of telling those who frequented the board, but are not subscribed to AM. Thank you, Chris Staley cstaley ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ E-town Show ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ they are seeling tickets to the public for 15 bucks- i think you can get them at the bookstore there i am sure they will be selling them at the door also -Mike SubAddict ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Baltimore Info ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ok, sorry to take so long to get back to everyone about the femmes concert in baltimore, i just have been really busy....by now i'm sure everyone interested already knows the info. The concert is on June 5th which is a saturday at Pier 6 concert Pavilion in Baltimore. It is off the east end of the Inner Harbor, close to Fells Point. lawn seats are 20 bucks and pavilion seats are 25. This will be the first femmes show i think i am going to where I can't be jumping around inches from the band. Actually, no im wrong, they played an earth day concert in 94 where i had lawn seats. anyways, i am definitely there, and i recommend to everyone to head over to Fells Pt. after the concert for some post femmes celebration. see ya all there Bobby vanallen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eugene Show ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My review is a little late, but so am I. I was at the Eugene show and it was a good show. My sister, brother-in-law, and chzbooger were there very early. So early that there was nothing for tickets to set up and we got to see some of the set up. While we were waiting out in the lobby some members from El Destroyo walked out to set up their merchandise. My brother-in-law and I laughed about it because of the bad experiences of them opening for the femmes (Seattle). Anyway we talked with them for a while and we talked about the Seattle shows and I bought their Cd and it was pretty good. During the show I was at the front and center rail it was fun. While we were in the lobby we figured out that this was my 10th show seeing the femmes. The sets were pretty standard but did add some gems like "Candlelight song". Cynthia was there again and so was one of the founding members of the Horns of Dillema Scott Drake. (I think that's his name). At the end of the show Guy Hoffman handed a drumstick to someone and it was way cooler than the one I got in Seattle... oh well.... I did manage to get a bass pick that was a yellow pick that has black design of VF surrounded by the circular saw design from New Times. Other than that I don't have too much to report. -LilBoek ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Femmes Show in Providence, RI 3/19/99 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Greetings Femminists, I went to the show at Lupo's in Providence on 3/19/99. Lupo's is a nightclub that holds several hundred people, maybe over a thousand, with an open floor and a balcony that runs around three sides of the room. I'm so glad I went, because I live near San Francisco and the Femmes would never play such a small venue here. I got there around 20 minutes after the doors opened and the place was already filling up. I got a beer, bought a Femmes T-shirt and a sticker, and started worming my way towards the stage. It wasn't hard to get quite close to the guard rail in front of the drum kit, and over the course of the next two hours of waiting, as the crowd shifted now and then, I managed to grab onto the rail and swore to myself I wouldn't let anyone push me out of my front row spot (and no one did). Lupo's has no backstage area, so the Femmes must have been lurking in dark corners somewhere in the club, and every now and then girls would spot one and let out piercing shrieks; it definitely heightened the sense of anticipation! At about 9:30, the opening act came on. He was Carmaig De Forrest, a one-man show who plays guitar and mandolin?ukelele? and sings goofy songs. Picture Gordon performing solo and you get the general idea! He wasn't that well-received by certain New England chowderheads, I'm afraid, but it must take balls to get up there alone and sing like that. Some of us cheered for him. His last song, "Seven Kisses", was the best. sandycitarella -Pat. Says: Don't underestimate us chowderheads. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
