Violent Femmes Records Becomes Violent Femmes Archive

It's hard to believe that nearly 30 years have passed since I began this journey on a very different web. Looking back, it feels like a lifetime ago. Time has certainly flown by, and it's amazing to see how much this site has grown and evolved over the years.

What began as a simple fan site—something of a digital scrapbook assembled out of passion and enthusiasm—had little direction beyond serving as an outlet for one fan's obsession with the Violent Femmes. Over the years, however, that passion led to the collection and preservation of an incredible amount of material. What started as a hobby gradually became something much larger: a collection, a vault, and ultimately, an archive.

And so, Violent Femmes Records has evolved into the Violent Femmes Archive.

Fancy title, isn't it? But it's also an accurate one. I am confident that nowhere else on the internet will you find as much Violent Femmes-related information gathered in a single place. And now, with a brand-new search feature, exploring it all is easier than ever.

So here we are, nearly three decades later. From violent-femmes.8m.com, to angelfire.com/goth/violentfemmes/, to ViolentFemmesRecords.com, and finally to Violent-Femmes.com, the journey continues.
