Blister2000 is a newly recoded version of BLISTER, which is much mellower, and contains strange things like horns and bells. I personally really like it, buts lots of people don't, so i'd advise listening to it somewhere before buying it. I bet theres a sound sample SOMEWHERE on the internet or maybe someone will send you a WAV file or soemthing. The rest of the stuff is great too, it's a good cd to put on with friends for background music while you, like, play pool or something. I dunno. But it's good! The new version of BITS was recorded because Femmes had some trouble getting the old one from Slash. The new one is pretty darn close, but you can here some differences here and there. I think its good for a "home made" project, a few songs stand out as really interesting, like "this hurting game" and "abu day abu da" and that one about the waitress at the oriental drug store (i forget the title). Its just a rest stop on the road of DeLorenzo, obviously nothing that would be a commercial success, but its definitely cool to have. If you listen closely to both albums (and you know about music) you can hear where Victor directly influenced the femmes and vice versa. By the way if you ask me Gordon writes some of the most depressing lyrics I've ever heard, and yet everyone thinks they are a happy band. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What To Get Next? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple days ago, I followed all your advice and bought a used copy of Hallowed Ground. And I discovered I already had 3 on tape. So now I have those two albums and Add It Up. I'm writing to ask your opinions on my next purchase. Which VF album is the next best? Or should I stick with the ones I already have? I feel like I've got most of the best songs - but maybe I don't. So please just offer me some advice on the next VF album to buy. Thanks. It was just after the concert had ended and the security crew was kicking me and a couple of my friends out of the seating area for dawdling, cause we really wanted to talk with the Femmes (we were in the second row for the show). But, they kicked us out into the entrance area, and we were about to leave when we heard one of the security girls ask if anyone wanted to help the Femmes set up for the after the show party. Naturally, we jumped at the chance and we helped the crew set up and got to talk to the Femmes for about 10 minutes until my friend Stephanie got hungry (damn her soul! We ended up in a Dennys at 2am....). But I did get to talk to each of them, if only for a second. I shook Gordon's hand and gushed for a second until he finally got his hand out of my grip, and then tried to talk to Brian, but he seemed a little drunk or something. I talked with Guy for a few minutes about this that and the other. He seemed a bit soft spoken, but he may have just been tired, but he was still cool to talk to anyway. The whole thing was really cool, too bad it was only like a 10 minute thing. So I suppose to answer your question on how to meet the Femmes, just hang around after a show and pray you get lucky.
