Ticketmaster started selling tickets on Saturday, according to their webpage. Anybody in the Seattle area willing to find out more about this show? Like why is it 21+ in a theatre? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Embarrassing Testimonial #1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ True... it's been about 2 years since I wrote last and I'm really sorry that I've haven't aired my thoughts about some of the past issues. I do however feel that I must speak up now. After reading that rude little punk Eric's posting this morning, I couldn't help but get pissed off. So far I haven't agreed with much of what Wisconinsane13 has said in any of his postings, but this one took the prize. Where do you get the nerve to give Pat shit for putting out this mailing list. What Eric has to understand is that AM is not a job, it's a hobby. It's one person's spare time given to her peers. I too was worried that the AM had died, but instead of getting upset with Pat when she started up again, I was glad. I didn't need to hear the reasons for the break, but if Pat wanted to share them with us, that was fine too. As for the Pat says: thing, I'd say it's the right of the list op to comment on whatever she wants, since that's really what we all do, it's just that she gets to read everything before we do and therefore has the opportunity to comment before us. I hope that Pat can see what a great job she has done and is doing with AM, and how thankful most of us are. I seriously doubt that Eric could perform better and will therefore not even go there. Erik erikk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Embarrassing Testimonial #2 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just wanted to say that I'm disappointed by the incredibly selfish and mean attitude by a certain other subscriber in the last issue. Personally, I always enjoy the "pat says:"... i think the fact that not only do you take the time to produce these every few days but also take the time to read everything, to care about what is written, and to respond to it is WONDERFUL! And since when are you not allowed to post things into a newsletter that you happen to run??? Over the years you've been producing this newsletter I think your stories have been some of the most interesting (nothing against everyone else, of course, I enjoy your stories too!!), and you certianly have done lots to fuel the discussions on the list and even keep it going at times it seemed like the list might die from lack of interest. My vote, for what it's worth, is that you keep putting your input into AM! Thanks for doing such a great job rob=) rhc75a ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RE: KROQ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In regards to my pleas to bombard KROQ in Los Angeles for VF requests, you can also request songs through their website http://www.kroq.com If everyone here went to the website and requested the same song, they could not deny 500 or 600 requests for a song. I can tell you from first hand experience that even the biggest songs only get a couple hundred requests in a day. The song needs to be upbeat, catchy and short for them to consider adding it. "Every Breath You Take" makes sense because radio loves cover songs and there is the extra angle that it is from an online only album. I'm sure the band would hate for that song to become a hit, but sometimes you have to take one step back to go two steps forward. Once we make that song a hit, we could follow that up by attempting to get "Rejoice and be Happy" played. A great upbeat song with the classic femmes sound. Go to the website and start making your requests NOW! I am going to go their every day and request it multiple times a day. Join me! Here is a side question, does AMUSIC get sent to the band through the bands website. The band and their management should know that their is an ardent group of fans out their working for them. SCPGAMEDIA -PAT SAYS: AM is not sent to the band through their website, at least not by me, but potential subscribers can reach me by linking from their site. They are thus at least aware of us. If any band members are subscribers on their own, they maintain their anonymity. Which is a good thing IMHO. Would you want to write in about your erotic Gordon dream if you thought he may be reading? BTW, nobody's done that in awhile...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Re: Song Request ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That is such an awesome suggestion to request a song!!! I'm not yet quite talented enough to get the new album, but the idea is so thrilling that I would probably call KROQ all the time to request a song from it. (All of their songs are good, so I would trust everyone's judgement.) But I think it would be really cool to request "it's gonna rain" too. But I'm prejudiced: I've loved that song since I heard them open a concert with it one time, and when I saw that commercial, I almost had a heart attack. In fact, I think my heart did stop for a minute...That was thrilling, too! jjwil90 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
