Help from people in that area would be appreciated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ June Letter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Check out the June Note To Fans in the Official Homepage. It says that there are several labels interested in Freak Magnet. I won't tell you everything it says, because then there'd be no reason to go there, right? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fade Away ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ><< "Its better to burn out than to fade away" >> > >the first time i heard this quote was when Kurt Cobain died and this >was written in his suicide letter. I have a copy of Kurt Cobain's suicide note (as read by Courtney Love), and I didn't see anything that says "It's better to burn out than to fade away." Alicia -Pat. Says: It's the last line of his letter. If you don't have it then you don't have the complete letter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RE: Gordon Solo..The Price I'd Pay ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My girlfriend told me yesterday that she heard on the radio "Gordon is doing a solo album with a member of the Velvet Underground" And, after I threw some names out at her, she told me that the radio guy said John Cale. So, of course, I was excited. Now, I get the latest issue of AM, and my pal reports the same information (with more detail, of course) is coming from MTV. I read on, and it is reported that possibly they are talking about the same album that has been in the works for ages. Well, I am upset. Possibly because I have yet to hear FM (the album), possibly b/c I've been stranded in Kansas for the past few weeks, and possibly b/c I'm pissed off at the world for not being able to differentiate between LOU REED and JOHN CALE, regardless, I'm ticked. If MTV has been sent the right info by way of a press release, which it so seems, then I'm tickled pink with purple stripes. If MTV has messed up it's information, which is so often the case, then I'm really upset with MTV, again. Not only do they let Matt Pinhead interview Lou Reed (instead, of say, me), they mix up which VU artist was involved with Gordon. So, where is all this blabber going? I dunno, but frankly, I had to vent. Further, I must say that anyone who wants to purchase ROCK!!! should not think twice. I finally tracked it down about a year ago, and I paid... yes, I did...I paid $55 + Chicago 8.75 % sales tax. For 12 songs. I must say, though it was extremely justified. And, I also must say, the $13 on the webpage deal is much more reasonable. Regarding the purchase of FM, I would happily pay $25 for a cd version of FM. And, yes, I would also happily pay $25 for a legit cd version... especially if it had Reggie's Right on there as a bonus track. john ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Order Rock ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >As far as ROCK is concerned, it is an import, and maybe you >could order it from a record store. Another source: amazon.com's new music section. They list "Rock!!!!!" as being available as an import special order for $13.99. bec ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blister On The Ice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Was watching the third quarter of the Detroit/Washington game from Detroit last night and, during a break in the action, a familiar tune came on very loudly over the PA system--none other than Blister In The Sun. For a moment, I pictured members of the crowd being passed down to the ice. Didn't happen, but the crowd did seem into it. -BurrResear ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
