See I don't think the album flows very well from song to song. And I definitely don't think Bad is the right song to open with. I dunno - what do you guys think? -wisconsinsane -Pat. Says: Interesting topic. I expect all of you who have a copy of Freak Magnet, or who have heard it, to keep sending in your thoughts, on this topic or any other. Those who have not yet heard the album might want to hear about it. IMHO, I have heard Bad live, and it starts so jarringly...BOOM you're right into it. I guess it'd make you jump a bit when you put the CD on and you haven't adjusted the volume. But you know what? I like that. Lone Justice did that on their self-titled album. The first song was East of Eden, and Maria McKee just belts out "Should I go North" so hard that even though I've owned the album since 1985, I STILL just about jump out of my skin. It's a delicious feeling. Nice touch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Interscope Ramblings ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I finally have gotten around to writing interscope to voice my displeasure over their poor business practices. Among other things I renamed their 'promotion' dept. the 'no-motion' dept. It's never too late to write them, and if you already have, well then hell, do it again. Just go to http://www.interscoperecords.com and click on email. I'm sure they love getting email. Get your friends and family to write too. Mike had quite an idea at the Milwaukee show. It was funny to read about such an impromptu act of support for the band, but maybe the rest of you, upon finding yourselves so moved by the band's performance, and compelled to vocalize your innermost feelings, should instead yell out such words of encouragement from the audience, and at a time when the band is not playing or speaking, so that the rest of the audience clearly understands just who it is that you think should be fucked. I would imagine that jumping onstage might freak the band out a bit, n'est-ce pas? -patwary ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ark Records Clash Tribute?? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey, remember a few months ago when we were talking about this album? The VF were supposed to have recorded a song from it. Then we heard nothing further. At the time, I wrote to Ark Records for info, and the response was that the album was put on hold for legal reasons. A later request for info went unanswered. SO, has anybody heard anything at all about this? Just curious, plus I'm trying to get some conversation going here, as you may have noticed. One other thing. For a time there was a person who subscribed because he was getting together a "best of" album over in England, and wanted feedback from us on what we thought should be on the album. Any word on anything like that coming out in the UK? -patwary ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
