For once, I had enough submissions to send one out, but after spending the day chaperoning the third grade field trip to the Crayola Factory, I was in no condition to do anything more than share a bottle of wine with my husband and go to bed. Saturday was of course race day, Sunday was spent making a prom dress for a neighbor who couldn't find anything decent in any of the stores; I got 2 hours sleep last night because I am in charge of Field Day and there's a lot to do yet...Wednesday is May Day and book fair ...I'm swamped with stuff till school lets out on June 11. Keep sending letters; I will continue to try to send out at least two issues a week; if you people wrote more, there'd be three. Oh, before I forget...those of you who are leaving your computers for the summer please temporarily unsubscribe or change your email address. If you are leaving, have a great summer; remember to resubscribe in the Fall. Thanks for the quotes; you'll see some new submissions over the next few days. Keep them coming! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Going to Saratoga Show ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can list me as going to the Saratoga show on 8/15. By the way, the 8/14 show you've got listed is a mistake on Pollstar's part. They've since edited their listings to match Ticketmaster, indicating that there's only a show on 8/15. --Sandy sandycitarella ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RON and the FAITH DANCE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yeah! Me and Tumor Girl were right there talking to RON the Dave Grohl look alike with the tattoo righ there front row. I had on my blue jacket and mental patient shirt and spiked black hair. Me and Ron were buds. I tried to get pictures of him playing from the balcony, but the lighting was godawful. Nothing came out and Tumor Girl was in such exctasy watching me do that FAITH DANCE that even that picture was shit. pepple may never learn to do the FAITH DANCE. It was a beautiful thang while it lasted. No offense to Mr. Richie, but I don't think I could ever do it while he played bass. It was RON that drove me. His pounding bassline got me into it. It gave me soul. I need to go find some drugs. -Drewery -thenewkid ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RE: Lighting ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ oh...in reference to spectacular lighting for the band, i caught them at umass dartmouth a couple of years ago...first time i ever saw them play never tell...during the nice, quiet "listen to me baby" part, they had one red spotlight on gordon...very eerie...then, when the noisy "and i will cut you up" part hit, they nailed brian and guy in white spotlights for the half-second that they get noisy...and immediately cut back to the one red on gordon...best damn effect for any tune i've ever heard... Nevertell6 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I Killed My Lovely Daughter - Live 1985~London ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The "I Killed My Lovely Daughter" cd appears to be a bootleg but of quite high quality for a bootleg. It includes live renditions of most songs on the first two albums as well as a Happy Birthday song for Victor followed by LA LA LA LA LA. The recording quality is excellent and it sends shivers up the spine to hear Gordon speaking to the crowd in his younger voice which we all love. The cd was produced in China but still includes artwork and good sound quality. I highly recommend it. It's currently my favorite. I highly suggest that everyone who hasn't listened to Brian Ritchie's music, do so. His song writing talents are considerable. Some of my favorites are: Religion Ruined My Life, Please Don't Cry For Me, and Alphabet.
