I got a spot right up front and it felt like gordon was singing just to me. Played all the classics plus some stuff from freak magnet. They played life is an adventure which was great, not many people knew it. The jam during black girls was a definite highlight. The best was when they played good feelings. Such an emotional song, I just closed my eyes and felt the music. At the end they tossed the pics and I got one of gordon's. As I was leaving brian was walking through the club and i told him it was a great shoe and shock his hand. For anyone who doesn't already know, they are announcing Summerfest acts (very slowly) now... there is one day still open at the Marcus Ampitheater (June 26, i believe), so the Femmes might play there again like they did in '96... or they still have several of the other stages left to announce as well. I am also a big femmes fan and yes I did bid up the Used to Be single as I wanted it also. This is how ebay works. After the auction the seller emailed me to say that Nick had tried to back out of his bid by offering the seller less than he had bid. The seller then offered it to me and I purchased it. I don't know if the seller had two copies as Nick said but I do know that the story Nick is telling is not the one that I know to be true. The seller should be happy to have two big femmes fans to drive up the price. When I bid on an item I always follow through and pay for the item and it upsets me to hear Nick slander me by accusing me of bidding improperly. If I want to bid $143 then I have a right to and it does not justify Nick accusing me of improper bidding. If you guys are like me, you check the Violent Femmes merchandise on ebay regulary..have you noticed the auction robberies that occur?? There is a copy of ROCK!!! currently on sale for $20 and thats excluding shipping!! Last time I checked the official Violent Femme site, ROCK!!! was available for $12.50 (including shipping and handling) These sellers need to be aware of the value of what their selling before they start the bidding way over how much its worth! Yeah, they're out to profit but its ridiculous and I'd hate to see someone pay for something that they can get much cheaper elsewhere. So, I hope none of you Fellow Femme Fans bid on such an expensive Femme album..
