They seemed to be really happy and glad to play in front of us. They played a lot of songs but only five from Freak Magnet, it seems that they did the promotion of Viva Wisconsin. Strangely, the VF CD they sold there were more expensive than in traditional shops. The opening band (Hefner) was English and nice, I bought their CDs. I've actually had this CD for over two months now. I was at a used CD store in Santa Monica, where one of the people working there was putting CD's out. I was about to leave the store when I noticed the words "Violent Femmes" on the cover of a CD that didn't look like any of the ones I had already (and I have all their albums). So he handed it to me, and I realized it was Freak Magnet. At the time, I thought it was weird that no one on this mailing list mentioned it, and now it makes sense since I guess it just came out. It's just odd that it was already at a used CD store two months ago. Oh well. I love this CD. It's one of my favorites of theirs now. The last song, "A Story," is hilarious IMHO! P.S.
