Would you believe we had a power outage just after I started sending out
this issue yesterday? Some of you may be getting this a second time.
Sorry, but I have no idea how many were sent before everything went

In Today’s Issue:
Rejoice!

RE: Prices, Ages

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almost nobody’s talking, but since there are several new tour dates,
I’m sending out an issue in spite of you all.
Now: check out your local newspapers carefully, listen hard to your
favorite radio station, and if you hear of another concert not yet
listed here, please let me know so I can tell everyone else.
Rejoice!
Someone up there likes me. After 5 arduous years in Femmes outpost
Houston, TX, after NEVER having seen my favorite band of these
formative years live, the Violent Femmes are finally playing not one
but two shows over a weekend in Texas! Even though the venue here in
Houston is very large, corporate, and anti-intimate, I will forgive all
of these things if they simply play Never Tell. If anyone speaks with
one of the guys, tell them I’m waiting.
I would watch 120 minutes more if they would quit bumping it off for
Tom Green.
It is now their longest running show. I would also like to see more
vintage videos on there. I feel like a dinosaur watching it sometimes.
RE: Prices, Ages
Would everyone just stop bitching and moaning or what ever it is you
are doing about god damn ticket prices. Firsty, just let it go, what
does it matter? You should all count yourselves lucky to be able to
spend whatever the price to go and see them play live. I live in New
Zealand and we don’t have this lovely luxury that you do. Secondly,
its quite boring to have most of the correspondence to be about ticket
prices. If you don’t want to pay that much, then don’t. Just do what
we have to do and listen to the CD’s. Ticket prices average around
$55.00 here for international acts.
And by the way, a fan is a fan no matter if they are 10 or 40, no
matter if they only like certain songs and go to see bands play certain
songs or if they are hardcore obsessive types. Everyone is there to
just enjoy themselves and who cares if they only want to hear Blister,
etc. You all should be having so much fun that you don’t even notice
what others are doing, regardless of their age, sex or colour.
