gee i hope this is how you write letters to american music because it’s
one of those late nite computer mail checks and with all the youngster
fans that wrote i felt inspired. everyone knows how obnoxious those
grungster (overuse of THAT whole -er nickname thing) teens who hear
blister in the sun one time and declare themselves fans for life can be.
they make me sick. but i feel that anyone who takes the time to get online
and do the whole club thing is fine with me. being a kid myself
(15 yrs. old) i can understand it….but the femmes mean more to me than
any other band, because to me they will always be “my band”. i remember
that historic day in late october when i first heard the femmes. i was in
fourth grade and basically pretty ignorant (as far as music goes), but i
knew somehow that that day would be one of the most important days of my
life (well not really, but can’t i say that now that i can view the whole
situation in retrospect?). personally, can’t think of any better feeling
than when some loser (lacking a better word) decides they’re a hard-core-
femmes-fan, and they ask me if i’ve ever heard of them. at this point i
smile coolly, and tell them my story, at which they are blown away,
because in my city…in my generation….i will always be the original
femmes fan. i love all you guys. i can really feel the whole common bond
thing here.
(my apologies for saying anything stupid, it happens, and it IS late at
nite)
bye. -beth

i’d just like to say that the version of B.I.T.S. on the Grosse Point
Blank Soundtrack is different than the one on Add it up….its got more of
a drummy feeling…but if you turn it up really loud it still sounds
great……

I went to the reel big fish concert thursday here in milwaukee. i was
skankin it up when all of a sudden i hear, “Do you like alternative music,
i like alternative music, don’t you like alternative music, baby.” Okay,
so reel big fish isn’t really relevant to this mailing list, but i was so
excited, i just had to tell you guys about it. it was the highlight of the
entire night. unfortunately, like most of the concerts here in milwaukee,
all the people there were moshing punks. oh well….

Actually Patrick you are wrong, well half wrong anyway. I heard the
first one first, however the first album I owned was 3.

Well did I call it or what? Well if you like the whole cd it’s a
different story (Not really). Besides I didn’t say there was really
anything wrong with it, it is just very typical and predictable. Do us
all a favor and go buy other albums, try the blind leading the naked, its
a good place to start.

Hi. I just started getting American Music, and I’ve read a lot of
people complaning about the name. I don’t understand. Even if you’re
not American, (which I’m not, I’m Canadian) you have to think about
where the music first started. I’m not in the least bit offended I
think it’s a great name. (And a great song.)
