The Femmes have just about finished up their states-side spring training gigs (one date left in Columbus, OH) and are ready to head across the sea. A lot of you have been writing to ask for venue and ticket info regarding the April and May dates and I need to ask for some help from subscribers in those areas please. Sorry, but I don’t speak the languages and can’t seem to locate websites.

VF on MTV2

You can all begin throwing eggs at the moderator right now. I’m sorry, but somehow I missed the premiere of the MTV2 Album Covers show. The episode aired first on March 5th and apparently several times again thereafter. There aren’t currently any scheduled dates on the MTV2 calendar (however you can watch Dashboard Confessionals cover REM if you’re into a lame evening). I will watch for repeat dates and let everyone know ASAP. Until then you can see a snippet of Blister online at MTV.

From Guster’s website:
The concept is one band covering another artist’s album. There have only been two episodes so far: Dashboard Confessional covering REM’s “Automatic For the People” and Guster covering the Violent Femmes’ self -titled album. I wasn’t too thrilled with Dashboard Confessional’s take on things (although it was still worth watching). Guster on the other hand was phenomenal. Definitely check this series out if you get the chance. Also, it was advertised that they are going to be releasing the audio to purchase over at the iTunes Music Store starting on March 30, 2004. Guster’s latest album increased sales by 22% following last week’s airing of Album Covers Show.

Scrolling through the TV this am I found on MTV2 Guster performing bits of the Violent Femmes’ first album on a show called Album Covers. Also appearing are Gordon and Brian (where was Victor?). A quick check of rockontv told me the show will be on again tomorrow, March 18, at 8 am ET. Set your VCR’s, DVDR’s, or TiVos if you can’t see it in person.

Uh, I have a question. And this is nothing against croatia, but the question comes up.
How can the Femmes make it to Croatia and not Worcester MA (Centrum, Centre Centrum, Paldium…. anyone 7 colleges…) Providence Civic Center, Worcesters LalaPalooza
need i go on?

EVEN the casinos in the area Licoln Park, RI,. Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods…. somewhere anywhere in New England
or are you scared the bus wont make it

Come on…what do I have to do??? Beg??? I/we need the Femmes at the Del Mar Racetrack, San Diego this summer or…..my life will have no purpose….I won’t have a reason to continue living down here….I’ll be really f*&%$ng sad…please, please, please say you guys will be there again…what can I do to help make this happen…anything…have you talked with Chris Cantori at 91X yet…just let me know what I can do to help…later skater
