Bellarmine Info

that concert date for 4/7 (I think you have it listed as 4/4)
in Loisville KY. I’ve got the info on that one for you. I talked to
Joyce in the student affairs dept at Bellarmine College. Knight’s Hall
is a gymnasium that holds approx. 3000. It’s located in Louisville KY
on the Bellarmine College campus. Tickets have not gone on sale yet but
they should within the next two weeks. They will be sold through the
school and a local record store called Air Extacy. She believes there
will be charge by phone through the school. Tickets are “tentatively”
priced at $17.50 and there is no age restriction.

Indianapolis Show

My brother, who is at home in Indianapolis, reports to me the
Femmes will be at the World Mardi Gras in Indianapolis on April 26, with
tickets going on sale this Saturday, February 28. Neither Pollstar nor
the VF homepage has this listed. Does anyone have an inside track to
info to hopefully validate this? If it is at the World Mardi Gras, I
apologize to all of you who aren’t 21 or don’t have a brother who is
whom you look identical to.

Stop the Evil

My friends, there is an evil among us and I will need your help to
defeat it. As some of you may know, the evil known as Puff Daddy has
worked with Dave Grohl, drummer from Nirvana. I just received word that
Puffy is now working with Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin’s guitarist on a
remix of a Zeppelin song called Kashmir. This is why I am asking for
your help. Puffy has now “worked with” two of my three favorite bands.
My friends, the other is our very own Violent Femmes. We must do
whatever possible to prevent the union of Puff Daddy and the Femmes, as
the results would be disastrous. Imagine, you’re listening to the radio
and a song ends and then you hear the familiar opening to Blister in the
Sun and then…”Yeeeeeahhhhh, muthafucka!!!” I, for one, do not want to
hear this. I am willing to do whatever it may take to prevent this.
Puff Daddy must be stopped.

Hey, this was interesting!
I didn’t know that the VF ever played in Sweden at all, that the closest
they got was Denmark… When is this one recorded, and where, is there
anybody who knows that??

And BTW while I’m thinking about this – what the *&%$ is up with the
Official page?!? Do they need volunteers?
If they’re never gonna update that thing why is it even there?!? I get
so darn frustrated, then excited when they actually update something,
then even more frustrated for , it seems, every time they add something
it’s even longer before they update again! I know it’s got to be crazy,
touring and the new album, but if what they said is true about the
number of hits lately – don’t you think it would be better if it at
least had the current tour dates on it!?!
Well on second thought maybe the hits they’re showing are really just
us several hundred devoted listers going there every day in the hopes
they’ve updated. AAAARRRGGGHHH!
